Dr Vikram Singh

Assistant Regional Director

 

Currently serving as the Assistant Regional Director at IGNOU Regional Centre, Jammu, I bring over thirteen years of diverse experience in the fields of education and tourism. My academic journey includes earning a Master's Degree in Tourism Studies from the University of Jammu, followed by a Ph.D. in Tourism Administration and Management from IGNOU, which has equipped me with deep insights into the complexities of tourism management and its educational implications. In addition, I successfully cleared the UGC NET in 2008, further reinforcing my academic and professional credentials in the field.

Over the course of my career, I have made significant contributions to both academia and industry. My work includes presenting numerous research papers at national conferences and seminars, where I have shared valuable insights on tourism, education, and related fields. These platforms have allowed me to engage with thought leaders, contribute to ongoing dialogues, and stay updated with the latest trends in tourism research and education.

In addition to my presentations, I have also been active in the area of publishing books, which are a testament to my commitment to research and knowledge dissemination. My publications reflect an in-depth understanding of tourism dynamics, and I have aimed to contribute to the academic community and the broader industry by providing resources that can be used by both students and professionals in the tourism sector.

 

My experience, academic background, and active engagement in research and publication enable me to play a key role in the IGNOU Regional Centre, where I continue to contribute to the promotion of education and the development of effective learning systems for students pursuing higher education in tourism and other fields.
